We met through an online Christian dating site in the summer of 2012. We hit it off and decided
to meet in person.
Jenn wanted her parents to come to our first meeting to make sure Brian wasn't a crazy guy from the internet! Haha!
It was a beautiful warm, sunny day when we pulled up next to Brian.
Jenn looked over and saw he was wearing a full
suit, and to top it off, he was also wearing a fedora hat. Our first meeting was lunch and mini-golf, not proper clothes for the outing!
My first thought was 'this is another crazy guy from the internet. I was half-joking when I told my parents to keep driving! Haha! We decided to go hiking after golfing so we could spend from the internet." I was half-joking when I told my parents to keep driving! Haha! We decided to go hiking after golfing so we could spend more time together. What a sight that was, Brian, hiking up the hills in a suit! Haha! I was thankful we didn't drive off because by the end of that day,
I just knew I would one day marry him.
Jenn was very shy and quiet. I had no clue that my idea to impress her in my suit had backfired on me. Haha! At the end of the day, I knew I wanted to get to know Jenn more seriously. As time went on, I began to see the woman I would love to one day call my wife.
Then after a year and a half, on a cold, windy winter night, Brian led me to my parent's barn, where he had put tea lights and roses all over and set a ring in the middle. He read me a poem he wrote and then asked me to be his wife. On December 13th, 2014, after a huge snowstorm, we said, "I do"! We had saved our first kiss for our wedding day, and Brian brought that same fedora hat from our first date to hide our first wanted to get to know Jenn more seriously. We have shared times of pain and joy. Through it, all God has been our Rock, and we are only stronger and more in love.
